KidZone is our dynamic, interactive, Sunday morning ministry designed for kids 1st - 5th grade. We begin at 9 am (the same time as the Adult Worship Experience) and end at 10:30 am. We are very intentional with these 90 minutes as we teach biblical truths within the context of games, dramas, video, discussion groups, music and refreshments. All of this is lead by screened and trained servants who are passionate about seeing young children know and grow in their relationships with Jesus.
Your kids will not be bored!
And the best thing about KidZone is that parents are included in the process because we really believe that we are a support for what you, the parent, are trying to do spiritually at home. So in addition to Sunday morning KidZone, we provide take-home talk sheets (to reinforce what your child is learning and to help you guide them spiritually) and access to online resources and activities.
We believe that parents, before any other institution, have the primary responsibility for the spiritual nurturing of their children. In response our Children’s Ministry strives to establish a structure that allows the church to walk alongside the parents, enabling and equipping them in this God-given role. For that reason, we strongly encourage parental involvement in the classroom. If parents are shepherding their children through Scripture, our ministry serves to reinforce the parent’s teaching.
We believe that children can handle deep truth at a young age. Currently we are using First Look and 252 Basics Curriculum in the Toddler, Preschool and KidZone (Elementary) classes.
The 252 Basics Curriculum centers on 3 Basic Truths modeled by Jesus in Luke 2:52:
• I need to make the wise choice.
• I can trust God no matter what.
• I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
The First Look Curriculum is designed to give preschool children a first impression of their loving Heavenly Father. The curriculum keeps it simple and fun, repeating one basic truth about God all month long. First Look also helps children understand worship and introduces them to small group time. It encourages children to talk to God any time at any place.
