What to Expect

Visiting any church for the very first time can make anyone a little nervous. Where do I go? What do I wear? What time do I show up? What’s here for my kids? What can I expect? These and many more questions can come to your mind. Well, we want to put you at ease. Your first visit to Paso Robles Community Church will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a place where you feel welcome and “at home.”

No matter who you are or

where you’ve been,

you’re welcome here.

At PRCC, you’ll be welcomed into a friendly, casual environment by people who are excited to see you. All you have to do from here is come as you are and find out more for yourself!

Here are a few answers to your questions about what you might expect on your first visit. And if you have a question you don’t see an answer for, please send us an email, message us on facebook, or call the church office. We would love to help you in whatever way we can.

What time is your worship service?
For your convenience: 9:30 a.m.

Do I have to dress up?
Nope. We do not have a dress code. Seriously. We just ask that you put something on and get here! Ties and Tattoos welcome.

Where can I park?
We have a parking lot located on the north side of our building, adjacent to the bowling alley, that is PRCC’s and has several handicap spots. In addition, there are many street spots available on both sides of Spring Street in front of the PRCC building!

Will I have to say or do anything?
We will never put you on the spot but be warned: the people at PRCC actually like being together so your first experience may be a little overwhelming. Give it some time and view it like a weekly family reunion and you’ll soon feel right at home.

Can I bring coffee into the worship center?
You bet! We even have our own coffee shop in our entrance so if you forgot your cup you can grab a free drink here! (OK, we do ask a $2 donation for espresso drinks.)

There are six things we hope you enjoy on a Sunday morning: Jesus. Music. Bible Teaching. Coffee. Friends. OK, maybe not in that order, but our prayer is that God will show up and your life will be impacted and if God chooses to do that through the music, teaching, relationships or coffee, then you just received a PRCC quad-shot.

What about the music?
It is guitar-driven, not too loud, and will help you focus your mind on God. And if you have musical ability and you would like to use it to serve God, then we are totally willing to help you develop your skill.

What about the teaching?
It is bible-based and, although Pastor Shawn tries to keep it relevant, our prayer is you will encounter the God of the Bible as you interact with the teaching and find that God is worth fully following. A typical message last between 35-45 minutes but don’t let the time fool you, it feels a lot shorter. If you’d rather sample our teaching first, then be sure to visit our “Sermons Page” and listen to one of the messages (all our messages are available for free).

What about my children?
We have a full Children’s Ministry and Nursery program offered during our Worship Service. Our Children’s Ministry we call KidZone and it’s designed for children K-5th Grade, meets Sunday morning at 9 a.m. at the PRCC building. The kids have their own age-appropriate teaching with dynamic and qualified teachers (in fact, all Children’s Ministry servants are active participants in the PRCC family and have been screened with a background check and trained for service). Nursery & Preschool is also available during the 9 a.m. service. These ministries are ready to receive your child before the 9 a.m. service so you may more fully enjoy worship.

What about my middle or high school aged student?
We have no special service for middle or high school students during our Sunday morning worship experience because we really think they’ll like the service and better yet, they may even want to participate in the service. If you don’t believe your student is ready, willing, or able to engage the music and teaching of the service, we do have a ministry geared specifically for middle and high school students on Tuesday evenings at the church building from 6:30-8:00pm. Check it out!
