Children’s Ministry
Welcome to the KidZone at PRCC. We love kids and desire for them to grow in the knowledge of how much God loves them and wants to have a personal relationship with them. Our desire is that each child will feel welcomed, seen and heard here at the KidZone. We welcome infants through 5th grade to join us each Sunday morning at 9:30am. We provide purposeful and strategic learning environments for kids.
We believe preschool ministry is more than babysitting. It’s laying a critical foundation for faith in the life of a child. The way ministry leaders embrace a preschooler’s physical needs will help kids from zero to five years of age know God’s love and meet God’s family. Our First Look curriculum creates weekly resources to ensure that every preschooler grows up believing: “God made me. God loves me. Jesus wants to be my friend forever.”
Kids trust adults because they are adults and because they need adults to orchestrate and protect their world. That’s why children’s ministry has an opportunity unlike any other to help kids know what it means to put their trust in Jesus. The way ministry leaders engage the interests of kids will help kids from kindergarten to fifth grade trust God’s character and experience God’s family. Our 252 Basics elementary curriculum creates weekly resources to ensure that every kid grows up believing: “I can trust God no matter what. I need to make the wise choice. I should treat others the way I want to be treated.”
Tawni Crose
I started attending Paso Robles Community Church in 1988 and came to know Jesus through the PRCC Children’s ministry at the age of 11. I love PRCC—it’s my home and I treasure serving alongside my husband Marc. We have raised 4 children together and are on the fringe of being empty nesters. I have a passion for the children and youth at PRCC, and I have served as a teacher or leader throughout the years. I’ve been on several mission trips to our global partners To GOD Be The Glory and The Aeta Children’s Home in the Philippines. I am excited to share with our kids about Jesus, create a safe place to explore their faith while learning the Bible and knowing that God loves them no matter what!
Youth Ministry
Our Youth Ministry focuses on 6th – 12th grade students.
We meet weekly on Tuesday nights in the PRCC building from 6 – 7:30 pm.
Tuesday Nights @ PRCC are designed with the students in mind. We value our youth. We believe that they are talented, intelligent, beautiful people who were created with purpose and will have a lasting impact on their world.
Every month we work through a specific teaching focus and incorporate a daily Bible reading plan, then on Tuesday Nights we spend time discussing it, fellowshipping, encouraging and supporting each other. We want our students to have a place where they are welcomed, loved, and safe to be silly, ask hard questions, wrestle with their faith, and experience Jesus.
Students that would like to join us can contact Kemi @prccyouth on Instagram or via email at office@pasochurch.com
Kemi Cowans:
Hey! My name is Kemi. I am Wife, Mother and Daughter to the one true King. I have been in Youth Ministry over the last thirteen years and leading the last two years. I strive in allowing God to help me build relationships and encourage the next generation as they pursue Christ and his purpose for their lives. Fun facts about me. I love all things crafty. Crafting and decorating is my therapy, especially when I get to do it for someone else. I love all things Christmas. For me it’s the traditions, music, family, joy and giving. I probably get about four months of Christmas a year.lol.
Jill White:
I was born in San Luis Obispo, California and was raised in Paso Robles California. After 22 years of trying to live up to the world standards, I learned of the love and mercy of Jesus Christ. As a result, I was saved and baptized at PRCC in 1999. Since then I have developed a devout passion and love for the youth across the world. My mission in ministry is for the next generation to eagerly pursue a relationship with Jesus and be certain of his unconditional love.
I am the proud wife to my husband Scott White, love spending time with friends, drinking coffee, cooking at home, and skimming through Pinterest as a source for inspiration. I have recently become a bonus grandmother to grandson, Lucas.
Kairos Coffee Shop
Kairos: Greek word for “time” that refers to a particular moment in history that has a lasting significance.
A “Kairos Moment” is a moment that shapes the history of everything that comes after it.
Kairos Coffee Shop provides kindness and support to the public while leading them to a “Kairos-Moment” through acts of service that glorify God–one person, one cup of coffee at a time.
Kemi Cowans:
Hey! My name is Kemi. I have been serving in our church coffee shop for the last six years. For me coffee is more than a drink. It is a cup that brings people together. It is the smile on a person’s face after the first sip or when we memorize their drinks and have it ready right when they walk up. I get to do what I love the most and that is serving others.
Jill White:
Some days I feel like I have real superhero powers – Like making coffee in the morning before I have had any coffee. Hi I am Jill White and I love coffee. Cream with two sugars. Not too bitter, not too sweet- like me! I’ve been serving at the PRCC coffee shop for six months. Making coffee serves as a bridge between me and my community with the hopes of sharing my love for Jesus and making lasting relationships. I have been in the restaurant industry for over 25 years and it is a joy to use my gifts at the PRCC coffee shop
Worship Team
Worship is our focus as a church and our worship during our Sunday service both fuels and drives everything we do as a church! Our amazing team of musicians, vocalists, and technicians meets regularly to plan and rehearse for our weekly worship experiences.
This team is always looking for additional worshipers to join them. If you are interested in using your talent to serve the Lord, then contact our Worship Leader, Pam Blake 805-801-6411 or worship@pasochurch.com.
Media Team
Team Vision
Provide an extension of the Worship Experience, enhancing God encounters.
Team Role
We serve diligently behind the scenes to support the Worship Team, Pastor or anyone who serve on stage in any capacity of song or message or video. With our serving, guests are able to hear the truth of God’s Word and experience God in a unified worship environment.
Preparing the elements. We serve to create a unified worship experience through technical elements. In placing Scripture or song lyrics on the screens, seamlessly transitioning between graphics and video elements or even in capturing great camera shots, we enable guests to encounter and grow with God. Technical elements in place which produce spiritual results.
PRCC currently has the following production elements:
- Video cameras, recording
- Sound, recording
- Lighting
- Confidence monitor
- Song lyrics
Creating the environment. We have the honor of enhancing the Spirit-filled environment of worship in our Church through sound, lighting, and general atmosphere. We are charged to protect this environment, maintaining a spirit of excellence and authenticity.
Partnering with the Body of Christ by inviting and serving guests while authentically representing Jesus. You have been entrusted by our Church to serve their family members, friends and co-workers who may not yet know Jesus. Your role in the Kingdom is essential.
We are looking to expand our audio/visual team! If you are interested in volunteering to be a part of this vital, behind-the-scenes team, please call or email Pastor Daniel: 805-239-4771 or pastor@pasochurch.com.
Outreach
Katie France:
Katie France serves with SEND International and will soon be joining a team based in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. She will be sharing the love of Jesus with the refugee community there by following Jesus everyday among these unreached people, developing relationships, sharing spiritual truths with those she comes into contact with and studying the Bible with them.
Katie is now in Minnesota. As COVID-19 has hit many, it has taken a toll on Katie’s support. She is in need of $1500/month in regular support. One time gifts of $8400 would cover this shortfall for the remainder of the year. Would you prayerfully consider becoming a regular supporter or giving a one-time gift? If you would like to do so, you can sign up at www.send.org/kf. Katie is also in need of prayer partners. If you would like to become a prayer partner and receive regular prayer updates from Katie, send her an email at kfrance@send.org.
Here are some ways you can pray for Katie:
- For new relationships with refugees and that they would be open to hearing about Jesus
- That the new team would come together well and be unified in their purpose
Needs:
- Prayer! None of this can happen without much prayer!
- $1500/month in monthly support
- $8400 in one-time gifts to cover support shortfall for the remainder of the year
- Funds for setting up a household in MN: Ikea gift cards, Amazon gift cards
